A 16-year-old boy was hired by a Hong Kong gang to sell drugs in Macau and travelled to Macau with his girlfriend, Judiciary Police (PJ) spokeswoman Lei Hon Nei said during a special press conference yesterday.
The male suspect is surnamed Lam, while the female suspect is a 17-year-old surnamed Tse. Both told the police that they are unemployed and addicted to drugs, Lei said. Both are from Hong Kong.
According to Lei, the local police received a tip-off earlier this month that someone had been hired by a Hong Kong gang to sell drugs to customers in night entertainment venues in Macau. After investigating, PJ officers identified Lam and Tse as the suspects.
