The government will ban all drone activities for nine days around the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Macau Special Administrative Region (MSAR), in order to ensure that the celebrations will take place in a “safe environment”, the Macau Civil Aviation Authority (AACM) said in a statement yesterday.

The government’s aviation regulator will implement the drone-flying ban over the city’s skies between December 14-22, in accordance with Article 66 of the Air Navigation Regulation of Macau, the statement noted.

The statement pointed out that apart from the operation of drones by the local government, any other drones will be banned from flying over the city during the period.
