Macau’s casinos showed further weakness last month as the world’s largest gambling hub is heading toward its first annual revenue decline in three years.
Gross gaming revenue amounted to 22.87 billion patacas in November, down 8.5 percent from a year earlier, the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ) announced yesterday. That was slightly better than Bloomberg’s median analyst forecast of a 10 percent fall.
Last month recorded the second highest revenue drop this year, after August’s 8.6 percent year-on-year. Seven of 11 months suffered year-on-year decreases in revenue.
