Jobless man pilfers 2 handbags: police

The police nabbed a local man on Monday for misappropriating two handbags at the Barrier Gate Plaza earlier this week, Public Security Police (PSP) spokesman Cheong Heon Fan said during a regular press conference yesterday.

According to Cheong, the suspect, a 46-year-old man surnamed Mok, told the police that he is unemployed. The two victims, a male and a female, are local residents, Cheong said. The victims reported the lost property to the police on Sunday and Monday respectively.

The male victim reported a loss of 153,600 patacas while the female victim reported a loss of 5,600 patacas, Cheong said.
