The Judiciary Police (PJ) arrested a man on Monday for his alleged involvement in cheating a mainlander out of HK$5.15 million in cash from a casino VIP room, PJ spokesman Choi Ian Fai said during a regular press conference yesterday, pointing out that a female accomplice was still at large.

According to Choi, the suspect, initially a 31-year-old local surnamed Ng, told the police that he is a businessman. The personal information of the female accomplice and the male victim were not released by the spokesman.

According to Choi, the victim and the female accomplice are old friends from the mainland and they used to gamble together in local casinos.
