The Transport Bureau (DSAT) said in a statement yesterday that it has installed traffic lights on the zebra crossing outside the Morpheus hotel at the City of Dreams complex in Cotai, and they will come into use tomorrow.
The bureau has decided to change the zebra crossing to a traffic light-controlled crossing with the aim of making it safer for pedestrians to cross the avenue – Avenida Doutor Henry Fok, the statement said.
“With the use of the traffic lights, the Transport Bureau will pay close attention to the changes in the traffic flow there [in the avenue], and implement [possible] follow-up measures in line with the real situation of the avenue in a timely manner, including adjusting the signal timing,” the statement said.
