The Public Security Police (PSP) are calling for witnesses to contact them about a near-fatal traffic accident in Areia Preta on Saturday, a PSP spokesperson said yesterday.
Speaking during a press briefing, the spokesperson said an 8-year-old boy was hit by a car on a pelican crossing in Rua 1 de Maio.
The spokesperson said the victim suffered a brain haemorrhage from the accident, and was still undergoing hospital treatment at the time of the press briefing.
