Just one of Macau's 10 COVID-19 patients is still in hospital, the Health Bureau (SSM) announced today.

The ninth patient, a 29-year-old local woman, was discharged from the public Conde de S. Januario Hospital Centre today. The woman, who works for gaming operator Galaxy, is the niece of a woman who had tested positive for the novel coronavirus disease.

After her discharge today, the woman will remain under medical surveillance at a quarantine facility in Coloane, the bureau announced during the daily press conference of the government's Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre.

Macau's last two COVID-19 cases were confirmed on February 4. The 10 cases comprise seven tourists from Wuhan, the epicentre of the outbreak of the highly infectious disease, and three locals.

Meanwhile, according to the press conference, an Air Macau plane chartered by the Macau government will bring 60 locals home from Wuhan and nearby cities on Saturday.

The 60 Macau people include 19 minors, or 32 percent of the total number, including five kids under the age of five, officials said.

Health Bureau Director Lei Chin Ion earlier this week described the airlift as a "very high risk" operation, considering the possible risk of cross infection with the virus.
