MGM announced today the donation of anti-novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) supplies to Tung Sin Tong, Macau's oldest and main Chinese charitable organisation.

According to a statement by the gaming operator, the company donated 45 temperature guns, along with hand sanitisers and other anti-epidemic supplies to the 128-year-old Macau Tung Sin Tong Charitable Society on top of supporting their annual fundraising, which has accumulated a total of 5.4 million patacas (US$675,000) in the past 12 consecutive years.

"This donation of supplies intends to strengthen the anti-epidemic measures for daycare centres, primary and secondary schools as well as elderly activity centres of [Tung Sin Tong] when their services resume.

"It also provides extra protection to the medical personnel in [Tung Sin Tong's] clinics and [traditional] Chinese [medicine] pharmacies, so that they can serve our citizens in a safe manner."

An MGM delegation headed by the company's CEO-cum-Executive Director Grant Bowie presented the donation to Tung Sin Tong's top representatives headed by the charity's President of the Board of Directors Jose Chui Sai Peng, a member of the Macau Legislative Assembly (AL), today.
