The Judiciary Police (PJ) announced yesterday the arrests of two men from the mainland who are suspects in shoplifting cases in at least five luxury goods shops in Taipa, Cotai and the city centre, resulting in estimated losses of 187,000 patacas in total.

A PJ spokesman announced the case during a special press briefing.

The spokesperson said the suspects – a 54-year old surnamed Liu and a 52-year-old surnamed Wang – were arrested on Tuesday as they were about to leave the city through the Barrier Gate checkpoint.
