Global COVID-19 death toll tops 200,000: report

The world's death toll of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) exceeds 200,000, the worldmeters.info website reported today.
The number of officially reported COVID-19 deaths stood at 200,430 at 12:15(Macau time) today, when the number of confirmed coronavirus cases amounted to 2.867 million. 
Some 26.8 percent of the world's novel coronavirus deaths - 52,843 - were reported in the US. Among the five nations with more than 20,000 deaths, Italy had 26,384 deaths, Spain had 22,902, France had 22,245, and the UK had 20,319 as of 12:15 a.m. today. 
Macau has 45 confirmed COVID-19 cases, with no deaths.
