The Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Centre (CPTTM) is holding its “11th Macau Fashion Illustration Contest” to encourage local fashion lovers to explore their creativity, the centre said in a statement this week.
Registration has started and the submission deadline is June 17. All local residents are welcome to participate, the statement said.
The fashion industry has increasingly paid more attention to environmental protection and sustainability in recent years, and in response to the low-carbon environmental protection idea, the theme of this year’s competition is “Green Fashion”, the statement said.
Participants should use their full potential to show their creativity and express their “stylish personality” through their designs, the statement said.
According to the statement, the competition is divided into an open category and a student category. There is no limit on the number of entries and styles submitted by the contestants.
Submissions are to be handed in at the centre’s House of Apparel Technology on the 10th floor of the Ocean Industrial Centre II in Rua dos Pescadores. A professional jury will select the winning designs. There will be gold, silver, and bronze awards for each of the two groups, as well as six awards for excellence. The trophies, certificates and bonuses will range from 1,000 to 3,000 patacas.
In order to enable those interested in the contest to gain a better understanding of the rules and further improve their drawing skills, the centre will hold a “Fashion Illustration Skill Sharing Workshop” at the House of Apparel Technology on May 24 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. free of charge. The application form can be downloaded from the CPTTM website www.cpttm.org.mo. For enquiries, please contact Ms Tai on 8898 0701 during office hours.
