The number of property units sold last month fell 43.7 percent year-on-year to 443, the Financial Services Bureau (DSF) announced yesterday. Some 77.8 percent of the units were located on the peninsula.
In April last year, 787 units changed hands.
The average price per square metre amounted to 97,815 patacas in April, a year-on-year drop of nine percent.
The average price per square metre stood at 98,000 patacas on the peninsula, 94,891 patacas in Taipa and 112,030 patacas in Coloane, according to the DSF data.
Meanwhile, according to data released by the Statistics and Census Bureau (DSEC) yesterday, the number of residential units sold in the first quarter decreased by 850 quarter-on-quarter to 981 units, while the total value fell 47.0 percent to 6.13 billion patacas.
Residential units’ overall average price per square metre of usable area decreased 4.0 percent quarter-to-quarter to 100,332 patacas.
The average price per square metre of usable area of office units dropped 2.5 percent quarter-on-quarter to 112,951 patacas, while that of industrial units dipped 7.1 percent to 51,583 patacas.
