An event entitled “Macau Specialty New Gadget Concept Exhibition”, co-organised by Macau Binshu Culture and Art Co. Ltd and local brand Thirty-seven Degrees, is on display at the 10 Fantasia gallery.

The exhibition is being co-hosted by 10 Fantasia – A Creative Industries Incubator and the St. Lazarus Church District Creative Industries Promotion Association, and sponsored by Macau Foundation. It aims to combine Macau’s local food sector with the cultural and creative industries to promote the local culture in the Greater Bay Area (GBA) market, according to a statement by 10 Fantasia.

The event is Binshu’s 2020 joint project with local creative brand Tuberose to launch a series of products under their new crossover brand Thirty-seven Degrees, which is based on the concept of human body temperature. When our body temperature is over Thirty-seven Degrees, we start to have a low-grade fever and feel unwell, according to the statement.

The concept of Thirty-seven Degrees also represents an attitude towards life, the statement points out, adding that different temperatures form tastes and lead to different life attitudes. “Thirty-seven Degrees, having a gentle temperament, blends with a retro essence and surpasses the rest,” the statement says, adding that “all this has created a brand-new and playful style of experience.”

The event showcases a series of creative products with concepts from Macau’s very own blend of Chinese and Western culture as the theme, according to the statement.

Tuberose Creative Director Leong Wai Ip and local artist Tracy Wong Nga Peng cooperated in presenting artwork for local and Portuguese titbits such as sardines, Portuguese egg tarts, pastry, pork-chop buns and almond cookies.

The design is unique, interesting and novel, and some of the artworks have been turned into cultural and creative products which are now in some local shops, according to the statement.

The exhibition runs until June 13 in two halls – A02 and C01 – at 10 Fantasia, which opens daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. (closed on Mondays) at 10 Calçada da Igreja de S. Lázaro. Admission is free.
