Galaxy is paying special tribute to all local residents for their effort in fighting the novel coronavirus with a campaign offering gift packs to honour the “heroes of Macau” who have been working together to protect the city.
Galaxy Macau said in a statement last week that as there are many moving and untold stories about people who worked selflessly behind the scenes to protect everyone around them, the company is paying tribute to all local residents with the “Galaxy Appreciates Heroes” campaign.
The statement said that thanks to the effort of the local government to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus and the cooperation of all local residents, the first signs of victory can be glimpsed.
“Everyone is a hero – from Macau residents who have diligently stayed at home, medical personnel, police officers, firefighters, customs officials and [other] government employees – to other important frontline workers such as engineering technicians who ensure sufficient water and power supplies, educators, hotel hygiene teams, people in transportation who ensure the smooth flow of goods, food deliverers and journalists who continue to report the latest news. They have all worked tirelessly to safeguard Macau,” the statement said.
The campaign, which runs until June 14, invites people to share messages of gratitude for their heroes by designing their own electronic “Appreciation Cards” or uploading their own “Appreciation Story” about an individual on Galaxy Macau’s social media pages.
The statement said that people taking part in the campaign would have a chance to have a one-night complimentary stay at Galaxy Hotel and dining vouchers worth 2,000 patacas.In addition, StarWorld Hotel, Galaxy Macau and Broadway Macau are offering special privileges where guests will receive a gift pack worth 500 patacas for spending 500 patacas, complimentary accommodation at Galaxy Hotel for spending 30,000 patacas; deals on hotel bookings at any of the enterprise’s seven world-class hotels; six hours free self-parking at Galaxy Macau as well as Broadway Macau, among others.
