In the Clash of Champions at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) on Saturday night in front of a capacity crowd of 3,000, Ng Kuok Kun aka The Macau Kid aka KK and The Wonder Kid Rex Tso Sing-yu from Hong Kong did not disappoint with both winning their bouts with fourth round TKO’s.

KK, (8-0 4KOs), whose training was interrupted with his third year exams at the Macau Polytechnic Institute (IPM), got off to a shaky start as in round one he did not look his usual self in the ring as his Thai opponent Weerachit Kitee (7-7-2- 7Kos) was landing head punches with impunity. He began to pick up in the second round and by the third round KK was landing shot after shot and in the fourth minute of the fourth round of a six round bout it was all over with the referee stopping the fight giving KK his ninth win with 5 KOs.

Speaking to The Macau Post Daily after the fight, KK said, “In the first round I was nervous, he [Weerachit] was using his full power in his punches, he just wanted to KO me and I didn’t want to be KO’d in the first round. He just kept defending when I jabbed him. He had a very hard head and I have hurt my wrist.
