Suncity Group Holdings Limited has announced that Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu will retire as its auditor.
The investment company made the announcement on the website of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on Friday.
According to the announcement, Deloitte will retire as the company’s auditor “upon expiration of its term of office at the forthcoming annual general meeting of the company and will not seek re-appointment after taking into account many factors including the professional risk associated with the audit, the level of audit fees and its available internal resources in the light of current work flows.” The announcement did not say when the annual general meeting is scheduled to be held.
Suncity said there was “no disagreement” between the two sides.
According to the announcement, Suncity “is in the process of identifying a suitable auditor to fill the casual vacancy arising from the retirement of Deloitte”.
The announcement was issued by Suncity Group Holdings Chairman Alvin Chau Cheok Wa.
