World's COVID-19 cases top 10 million, over 500,000 deaths

The world's number of confirmed COVID-19 cases went beyond 10 million today, when the death toll topped half a million, according to worldometers.info 

According to the real-time statistics reference website, the number of global novel coronavirus disease cases stood at 10,087,840 at 2:50 p.m. (Macau time), when the number of fatalities amounted to 501,436. 

The three countries with the most COVID-19 were the US (2.59 million), Brazil (1.31 million) and Russia (627,646). 

The US, Brazil and the UK had the most deaths among the world's 213 countries and territories listed by the website: 128,152, 57,103 and 43,514 respectively.

Macau has 46 confirmed COVID-19 patients, 45 of who have been discharged from hospital. All of Macau's cases were imported (44) or connected to imported cases (2).
