A car turned turtle yesterday in Estrada do Reservatório near Hoi Fu Garden at about 6:45 p.m.
The 42-year-old male driver was trapped in the car but was quickly rescued by passers-by, according to local Chinese-language media reports.
The reports quoted witnesses as saying that when the car drove from Rotunda de S. João Bosco to Estrada do Reservatório it crashed into the flowerbed and roadside railing, after which it turned turtle.
The windscreen was shattered, the door mirror was damaged and the car itself dented. There were no other passengers in the car when the accident happened. The driver sustained injuries and was rushed to the public Conde de S. Januário Hospital Centre for treatment.
The reports did not say why the accident happened, merely saying that the Public Security Police have launched an investigation.
