Telecommunications Regulation Bureau (DSRT) Acting Director Tam Van Iu said yesterday the government may need two or three years to complete a regulation for so-called Triple Play service licences, adding that once the licences are issued locals will have more viewing choices.

Tam made the remarks when asked by reporters about when Macau will have more pay-TV operators

Yesterday was World Telecommunication and Information Society Day and the bureau organised a seminar on how the so-called Internet Plus concept can promote innovation in the information and communications technology industry and social development. Several dozen participants attended the one-day seminar at Macau Tower.
