MGM Cotai was featured in the first episode of BBC Two’s television series, “Amazing Hotels: Life Beyond the Lobby series 3” that was world-premiered on July 14.

“Amazing Hotels: Life Beyond the Lobby” is a documentary series about some of the most extraordinary hotel destinations across the globe, where the two presenters, columnist Giles Coren and chef Monica Galetti head to work alongside staff in the establishments.

In this episode, both presenters thoroughly experienced the luxurious services and offerings of MGM Cotai, then immersed themselves into working life in the hotel to discover what MGM does to make great moments for guests.

MGM China Holdings Limited Co-Chairperson and Executive Director Pansy Ho Chiu-king said that the programme gives the audience a behind-the-scenes peek on how the company delivers luxury at scale, and offers a closer look at the hard work backstage and the team’s warm-hearted welcoming culture that ensures meticulous service and exceptional attention to detail to guests.

The presenters were first taken to the hotel’s loft-style guest room where they were treated to a line-up of VIP experiences.

They also explored the property and dined at the exquisite Sichuan restaurant Five Foot Road.

The presenters also took on various roles across the property under the glamorous surface of an integrated resort.

While Galetti visited the delivery warehouse and kitchens to take a comprehensive look at how a mega-sized hotel supplies all of its restaurants, Coren took up a position in the Floral department and got his hands on his first-ever floral designing project for the preparation of Chinese New Year.

For the first time on TV, the truly exclusive and luxurious resort within a resort, “The Mansion”, was unveiled, and Galetti was assigned to work with two private butlers and experienced curating a personalised service for elite guests.

Meanwhile, Coren joined an art guide training with a group of new docents to learn about the extensive collection of artworks across the hotel.

Since the shooting coincided with Chinese New Year, Galetti had the chance to join a team of 200 MGM volunteers in its annual “Spring Clean for Love” activity, where she spent half the day cleaning 220 households of senior citizens with the team before the most important Chinese holiday. She also got to experience the festivity and the spirit of caring for the elderly in the community.               – mgmpr
