Macau Foundation (FM) President Wu Zhiliang said yesterday he hoped that the city’s associations receiving subsidies from the foundation will be more transparent about how they are spending them.
Wu made the remarks when asked by reporters about the Commission Against Corruption’s (CCAC) announcement last week that it will look into the foundation’s controversial decision to donate 100 million yuan (123 million patacas) to Jinan University in Guangzhou.
Wu was a guest at the 60th anniversary celebrations of Choi Nong Chi Tai School in Areia Preta district.
