MGM has recently won four awards in the “3rd 2018-2020 Family-Friendly Employers Award Scheme” organised by The Women’s General Association of Macau.
In addition, the gaming operator also earnt the “Excellent Family-Friendly Employer Award” for the third time, as well as the “Family-Friendly Employer Award” and the “Breastfeeding-friendly Workplace Award”.
MGM Human Resources Executive Vice President Wendy Yu said that the company has always been striving to create a healthy and friendly working environment for its staff members.
“We also extend our care to their families in order to foster a sense of belonging among the team, which encourages them to give their best at work,” Yu said, adding that the company would continue to support staff members in pursuing personal growth, as well as family and career goals through diversified policies and practices, with the aim of increasing morale and team spirit.
MGM has launched various programmes to build a caring and family-friendly culture that upholds work-life balance for staff members. These include the 24-hour Mothers Zone, the Quiet Zone and the Internet Café so all staff members can have a rest.
The company also enhanced the maternity and paternity benefits from June 1, 2018. Meanwhile, the “Employee Assistance Programme” launched since 2010 provides both 24-hour hotline and one-on-one counselling service to staff members and their families.
With emphasis on the health and development of staff members’ children, MGM has organised educational activities such as “The MGM Experience” to learn about the operations of an integrated resort and “MGM Children’s Health Day” to provide free medical checkups.
“Family-Friendly Employers Award Scheme” was first organised by The Women’s General Association of Macau in 2014 and this year is the third edition, with the aim of encouraging enterprises to promote a family-friendly culture. – mgmpr
