A 51-year-old Vietnamese man was arrested for allegedly trying to kidnap a 2-year-old local girl in Areia Preta district on Sunday, a Public Security Police (PSP) spokesperson said yesterday.
The case was announced during a regular press briefing.
According to the spokesperson, the girl’s father was carrying her while he was shopping in a supermarket in Areia Preta on Friday evening. When he put her down, the suspect quickly picked the girl up and headed towards the rear exit.
