The Identification Services Bureau (DSI) said in a statement on Friday that the service hours at its offices in China Plaza on Avenida da Praia Grande, the Government Services Centre in Areia Preta and the Government Islands Services Centre in Taipa are back to normal.

According to the statement, the offices are open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Monday through Friday and are closed on weekends and public holidays.

Service hours had been extended to receive applications for ID cards and travel documents since February 7, and the extension of hours was scheduled to end on Friday. The statement noted that since there has recently been a “significant decline in appointments” for filing applications during the extended service hours, the measure has been ended as scheduled.

Over 64,000 applications for ID cards and travel documents were received during the extension period, the statement said.

The bureau recommends using “Macao One Account” or 24-hour self-service kiosks for “high priority” applications.

Meanwhile, members of the public who want to submit applications at service counters can make appointments via “Ticketing and Appointment for Counter Service” through their “Macao One Account” or on www.dsi.gov.mo.

Enquiries can be made by calling 2837 0777 or 2837 0888 or emailing info@dsi.gov.mo.
