The Transport Bureau (DSAT) said yesterday that a number of large-scale concerts will take place in Estrada do Istmo area (informally known as Cotai Strip) tomorrow and this weekend, urging visitors and residents alike to pay close attention to its latest traffic updates, while choosing off-peak hours to commute.
A DSAT statement released on its official account on WeChat said it expected the concerts to gather huge crowds in the area, which could cause traffic jams, adding that traffic updates will be available via the DSAT app, public broadcaster TDM, and LED display panels in various neighbourhoods.
The bureau promised to closely monitor the situation at the city’s border checkpoints and take emergency measures to ease the flow of people and traffic if necessary.
