The Secretariat for Administration and Justice (GSAJ) said in a statement last night that all public services will resume their “normal” work schedule on Monday.

Considering the latest developments of the COVID-19 epidemic and citizens’ need for public services, the government has decided to resume the public administration’s “normal” services on Monday, the statement said.

According to the statement, when entering public administration premises, citizens still must wear face masks and present health declaration e-forms to prove that they do not have cough or fever.Temperature checks will be carried out at the premises’ entrances and those who fail to follow security personnel’s instructions may be refused entry. These measures have been in place for two weeks already.

According to earlier statements by the government, due to the escalation of the COVID-19 epidemic at that time, the government only provided “urgent” services to the public from February 10 to 14. From February 17, the government switched to providing “basic” services as no new COVID-19 case has been confirmed in Macau since February 5. Macau has confirmed 10 novel coronavirus cases, comprising seven tourists from Wuhan and three local residents. All the Wuhan tourists have meanwhile been discharged from hospital and returned to the mainland. One of the three local patients was discharged from hospital yesterday but must stay at a quarantine facility for another fornight.
