The Macau IN volunteer group and Wynn Resorts co-organised a holiday event entitled “Dream Break Free” at the Macau Federation of Trade Unions’ Workers Stadium near the Barrier Gate checkpoint on Saturday, the group said in a statement.
According to Saturday’s statement, over 230 people attended the event to celebrate the holiday season. The statement said that the event invited previous participants in the group’s ongoing “dreams-come-true-take-off’ programme, which aims to fulfil families and children’s dream of being on a plane.
The statement said that Wynn Resorts also sent their charity mascots, “Wing Wing” and “Lei Lei”, along with Santa Clause to hand out gifts to the participants. The statement added that during the events the participants wrote down their wishes on kites and flew them high in the sky.
Macau’s current holiday season started with the Macau Special Administrative Region (MSAR) Establishment Day, continued with the Winter Solstice and Christmas and will end with the New Year.
