Swatch is collaborating with six young local artists to create a canvas for customers to make their very own watches with the artists’ designs.

Swatch and the designers have launched eight designs that were specially made for Macau. The designers mixed their personality and their ideas of the world into the design, resulting in a unique work of art with a distinctive Macau flavour.

Customers simply need to go to one of the custom design machines, choose a pattern of one’s liking, then move around the canvas until one is happy with the pattern being designed on the watch.

After picking some details then Voilà a one of a kind Macau limited edition Swatch is coming to life. Each personalised watch can also add a 15-character message on the back of the case. Swatch said that for a custom design to be printed it only takes 15 minutes.

The six young local contemporary artists are PIBG 2038, Vitorino Vong, Tramy Lui, Kay Tung, MCZ_Thomas and Kun Lam. All the artists’ work has a special story to tell. For example, Vitorino Vong’s work named “Rambling in Macau” is about plant, flower, crystal, emotion and realism. He said that his work expresses his feelings about life using colours and lines on the watch, adding that the hopes that everyone can notice the beauty of the little things around Macau.

Another local artist Tramy Lui’s work “Starry Journey” is about exploration, dreams, fantasy, passion and future. Lui said that her illustration is the window to her little world where her imagination can be released, and integrating all people and things around her.
