Guangzhou-born artist Sylvie Chen Xing, who lives in Switzerland, is holding an exhibition at the Rui Cunha Foundation gallery in Avenida da Praia Grande to show the public how she is using her body to communicate.
The exhibition, titled “Name. Unnamed” in English, comprises exhibits of various artistic forms such as Chinese paintings, calligraphy, videos, photos, and installations. The exhibition’s Chinese name means “Body”.
The gallery says in the exhibition text that the 36-year-old artist also studied in France and Japan where she is still active.
