Multimedia Children’s Dance Theatre is going to perform “The Crying Oceans” on March 20 and 21 at the Cultural Centre’s Grand Auditorium.
According to a statement provided by the theatre, the show is a multimedia dance theatre performance created by local artists and performed by children. The statement added that by connecting arts, performance and education with eco-concerns, the performances call for more community involvement in ocean conservation.
The statement said that the synopsis is marine debris reaches throughout oceans and all species which call them home suffer from pollution. The statement said that the Deep Sea Witch is summoned to invent a magic pill to clean it up. However, the statement added that the witch lacks an ingredient which only exists on land, adding that she tries to look for help. In the end, the statement said May May and her friend Bulby volunteer to go into the human habitat and ask for help. The performance raises a question, “Dear Human Beings, do you hear the crying oceans and can you help May May save her home?” the statement said.
