The statement added that Mak also shared his experiences and cases of cooperation between local businesses and Alibaba Cloud.
The public tertiary education institution and Alibaba Cloud launched the Alibaba Cloud Academic Empowerment Programme in November, initiating cooperation in different areas such as designing study programmes of cloud computing and big data and nurturing talents, the statement said.
The statement added that the program aims to “promote the integration of tourism education and information technology” and intends to develop the city as a world centre of tourism and leisure.
Through a series of the talks, IFTM attempts “to showcase the most recent trends in retail business to students and enterprises in Macau”, as well as putting forth the “modernisation of higher education”, the statement pointed out.
