Conrad Macao celebrated Earth Hour 2021 from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. on March 27 by turning off its external façade lights, dimming non-essential lighting and using a spectacular “Conrad Earth Hour 2021” display made up of recycled materials and 65 candles to illuminate the hotel’s lobby.

Since Conrad Macao opened in April 2012 it has launched various green programmes to show its commitment to environmental awareness. In 2013 the hotel posed a friendly challenge for other hotels in Macau to join a monthly, not just annual an lights-out event as part of Earth Hour’s global ‘I Will If You Will’ campaign. Over the past eight years the hotel has supported and observed ‘Earth Hour, Every Month’ while providing remarkable guest experiences. This year, the hotel continued the traditional switching off all non-essential lighting on the first Tuesday of each month while encouraging guests, partners and neighbours to support the initiative.

Conrad Macao‘s commitment to ongoing green initiatives have been acknowledged by the government which presented the Conrad Macao with the Macau Green Hotel Gold Award three times. – cmpr
