The Health Bureau (SSM) announced in a statement last night that it is recalling a Canadian anti-depression medication named “Apo-Amitriptyline Tablets 10 mg” lot number RF0410.
According to the statement, the manufacturer discovered that this particular lot of anti-depression medication is contaminated, adding that therefore the manufacturer has initiated the recall of the drugs.
The statement said that according to local importers, the affected drugs were supplied to two local private clinics. The statement said that in order to protect the public’s safety, the bureau urged residents to consult their doctor on the product. The statement said members of the public can call 8598 3453 during office hours for more information on the issue.
