Aiming to shorten the long queues and implement crowd control, the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) has set up an online sign-up procedure for the Kun Iam Statue Waterfront Leisure Area for residents to reserve a slot prior to their arrival, an IAM statement said on Saturday.
According to the statement, residents can scan the QR code or visit https://app.iam.gov.mo/gfbooking to reserve a slot. The statement pointed out that the person who logs onto the system can choose a time slot and then enter his or her phone number to receive a confirmation message. The statement said that the reservation will allow three people into the venue.
The statement said that due to the May Day holiday period, a lot of residents are visiting the new leisure area. Therefore, IAM officials have been sent to the promenade to maintain order. The statement also said that each time slot lasts just one hour, adding that before the end of the slot IAM staff will remind people inside the children’s area that their time is almost up. The bureau urged residents to cooperate with the officials.
The bureau reminded parents to look after their children and keep an eye on them for their safety. The bureau also urged residents not to rush to the park in the early days of its opening to avoid a long wait and the crowds.
