The 6th Macau International Lotus Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition titled “Centennial of the Founding of the Communist Party of China • Lotus Fragrance”, which is taking place concurrently with the 21st Lotus Flower Festival co-sponsored by the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) and Macau Foundation (FM), is being held in Lou Lim Ieoc Garden, according to a statement by the organiser, the Delight Macau Artists Association.
According to the text, the event aims to mark the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and to promote the development of Macau’s cultural tourism.
The CPC was founded in Shanghai on July 23, 1921.
The exhibition showcases over 70 pieces of artwork from over 100 artists in Asia comprising traditional Chinese painting, sketches, and Chinese calligraphy.
The exhibition is open daily at the Chun Chou Tong Pavilion in the public park until June 2 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is free.
As part of the government’s COVID-19 epidemic prevention measures, all visitors entering the garden have to wear a facemask, have their temperature checked and present a digital health code.
