A photo exhibition to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC) is being held at the China-Portuguese-speaking Countries Commercial and Trade Service Platform Complex in Nam Van.
The grand event is co-organised by the State Council Information Office (SCIO), the local government and the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macau Special Administrative Region (MSAR) in conjunction with the Macau Foundation (FM) and Nam Kwong (Group) Company Limited.
The exhibition is divided into four parts, namely: Part I - Founding of the CPC and seizing the great victory of the new democratic revolution; Part II - Founding of the People’s Republic of China (PRC), carrying out the socialist revolution and construction; Part III - Promoting reform, opening up, creating and developing socialism with Chinese characteristics, and Part IV –Advancing socialism with Chinese characteristics into the new era, completing a moderately prosperous society in all respects and embarking on a new journey to fully build a modern socialist China, according to one of the exhibition’s various information boards.
The exhibition showcases 298 photos, most of which have highly informative captions, providing comprehensive information on the history of the struggle and development of the CPC.
In addition, an exhibition of the nation’s great railway construction and technological progress is being held in another hall of the complex, aiming to review the centenarian history and achievements of the nation’s railways in line with the world’s leading technical standards, according to another information board.
China has nowadays the world’s largest and technologically most up-to-date network of high-speed trains.

The event, which runs daily until July 15 at the exhibition halls of the complex in Rua Sul de Entre Lagos, is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. except on the last day, July 15, when it will open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (no entry 30 minutes before the closing time). Admission is free.
As part of the government’s COVID-19 prevention measures, visitors need to wear a facemask, have their temperature checked and present a digital health code when entering the complex.
