Galaxy Entertainment Group’s (GEG) flagship property, StarWorld Hotel recently donated over 1,200 kilogrammes of food and groceries to Caritas Macau in the hope of providing the basic food needed by underprivileged people during the pandemic, as well as to encourage team members to cherish food, reduce wastage, and to give back to the community.

Throughout the years, GEG has been upholding its philosophy of “what is taken from the community is to be used for the good of the community” by supporting and organising many charitable activities that extend care and support to different community groups, such as by supporting Caritas Macau in organising the Charity Bazaar and participating in the event for 10 consecutive years; and encouraging team members to support the Caritas Macau Charity Run and the Caritas Macau Charity Badminton Tournament. In addition, to help the community cope with the pandemic, GEG also provided various local social service organisations and schools with different types of assistance and community support measures, including anti-pandemic products, disinfection and cleaning services and related training. Moving forward, GEG will continue to maintain close communication and cooperation with all sectors of society, and jointly contribute to improving social welfare in the community. – gegpr
