A taxi and a public bus were in a head-on collision yesterday afternoon at the entrance to the Governador Nobre de Carvalho Bridge on the Macau peninsula, causing injuries to the taxi driver and his four passengers, as well as the only two passengers on the bus.

A spokesperson for the Health Bureau (SSM) told The Macau Post Daily last night that the male cabbie and a female taxi passenger were both in critical condition and in a coma at the Conde de Sao Januario Hospital Centre’s intensive care unit.

Apart from the two critically injured, the other four injured people were discharged from hospital after treatment, while another male taxi passenger was still being treated in hospital last night, according to the spokesperson.
