The Marine and Water Bureau (DSAMA) said in a statement yesterday that a ferry route between the Macau Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal and Jiuzhou Port in Zhuhai is starting today.

The statement said that this marks the second ferry route between Macau and Jiuzhou. The first one being the ferry link between Macau’s Taipa Ferry Terminal in Pac On and Jiuzhou Port in Zhuhai that started in March.

The statement pointed out that  Shun Tak-China Travel Shipping Management Co. Ltd will be operating the ferries between the two cities, and the company has finished a series of preparations to ensure the safety of visitors. The statement said for more information about the departure times, residents can contact the company.

The statement noted that the bureau has told the security guards at the terminal to comply with the Health Bureau and Macau Customs Service guidelines on COVID-19 prevention, while urging the outsourced cleaning company to disinfect the public area of the terminal more frequently.

The bureau reminded all passengers to display their valid Macau Health Code when they go through immigration facilities as well as a valid nucleic acid test (NAT) result, adding that all passengers must wear their facemasks at all times during the trip as the shipping company reserves the right to refuse anyone who does not follow the guideline to board the vessel.
