Panellists at yesterday’s Macau Forum urged the government to plan public housing projects in a far-sighted way and make good use of available plots, while one of them said the government should be cautious in using its available plots for public housing because the development of public facilities may not keep pace.
The weekly open-air debate is hosted by government-owned broadcaster TDM in Areia Preta Park every Sunday.
The government’s public housing programme comprises subsidised home ownership scheme (HOS) flats and low-rent social housing flats.
