The Post and Telecommunications Bureau (CTT) said in a statement yesterday that since the government has locked down areas due to the recent Delta variant family cluster, its mail carriers are not able to enter the zone, so all postal deliveries in that area will be suspended until further notice.

The statement said that the government decided to lock down certain areas to prevent a COVID-19 outbreak. Therefore the mail carriers have not been able to enter the areas to deliver letters, parcels and notices. The statement said that the bureau will keep their post until the government lifts the lockdown, after which the Macau Post Office will resume its delivery service.

Moreover, the statement also said that users of the express mail service will receive a text message from the bureau and the receivers can request a home delivery once the lockdown is lifted. For enquiries, residents can email the bureau at cttgeral@ctt.gov.mo.
