Housing Bureau (IH) Director Arnaldo Ernesto dos Santos says that his bureau will carry out a survey on the demand for public housing flats, adding that the bureau will complete a report on the matter.

Ernesto dos Santos says in a reply to a written interpellation by lawmaker-cum-unionist Ella Lei Cheng that the government is currently amending regulations on social housing flats, adding that it will consider the possibility of accepting applications for social housing units on a regular basis. A copy of the reply was sent by Lei to the media yesterday.

The city’s public housing flats comprise social housing flats for low-income residents and subsidised home ownership scheme (HOS) units.
