Residents who haven’t got census letter should call hotline: DSEC

The Statistic and Census Service Bureau (DSEC) said in a statement yesterday that the 2021 Population Census has entered its final stage of data collection, urging households who have not their received notification letters to call the census hotline on 8809 8809 to activate their access to the online questionnaire or to conduct a telephone interview.

According to the statement, in order to encourage an early response to the census, households who have completed the census questionnaire will automatically be entered into the Early Census Response for a Greater Chance of Winning Lucky Draw, in which 200 “jolly prizes” will be drawn every day.

The statement added that households are also eligible for the Grand Prize of Your Choice Lucky Draw on August 31, when 15 winning households will be drawn and they may select their preferred prize from a list of grand prizes including the latest computers and video game consoles, furniture vouchers, smart watches and audio equipment.

The statement added that in appreciation for the support and cooperation from households, all households that have completed and submitted the census questionnaire will automatically be entered into the Cooperating Households Lucky Draw on September 30.

The statement noted that in accordance with the Administrative Regulation No. 6/2021 – “2021 Population Census Regime”, all census respondents are obliged to provide the required information within the specified period.
