Melco holds 3 million pataca lucky draw for fully vaccinated colleagues

Melco Resorts & Entertainment Limited said in a statement yesterday that its team members reached a vaccination rate of over 70 percent in Macau and Hong Kong, therefore the company held a three million pataca lucky draw yesterday in celebration.

According to the statement, with team members immunity established as a key company objective to ensure a safe environment for staff, guests and the community, Melco Resorts & Entertainment continues to support government-led efforts towards community-wide vaccination to achieve herd immunity. The statement noted that three team-members each won one million patacas.

The statement said that forming part of its Get the Jab vaccination incentive programme, the drawing and announcement hosted by Chairman and CEO Lawrence Ho Yau-lung was livestreamed to colleagues in all Macau and Hong Kong properties and offices. The statement also said that Melco was honoured to have Dr Liang Sung Wen, Coordinator of COVID-19 Outreach Vaccination Working Group, Macao Health Bureau join the viewing for team members at City of Dreams in Cotai. The statement underlined that subject to applicable terms and conditions, all fully vaccinated team members from Melco’s Macau properties and Hong Kong corporate offices were eligible for entry to the million-pataca lucky draws.

Ho said in the livestream that, “we are glad to see a sustained warm response to the Get the Jab incentive programme from colleagues, friends and families. We remain strongly committed to supporting the governments [Hong Kong and Macau] in their aim to attain community-wide protection through education and vaccination and will continue to dedicate substantial resources to create a safer environment for the community, our customers and our colleagues.”
