Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO) Director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes said yesterday she expected the government’s long-planned travel warning mechanism finally to be set up this year.
Senna Fernandes, who also heads the Tourism Crisis Management Office (GGCT), made the remarks on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the “Art at Shipyard – Creative Fair” on the Macau Polytechnic Institute (IPM) campus in Zape.
While there is currently no such mechanism in place locally, the GGCT has been issuing travel warnings through various channels.
