Macau observatory issues cool weather alert

Macau's weather station issued today a cool weather alert, urging the population to pay attention to the expected drop in temperature. 

According to a statement by the Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG) this evening, a northeastern monsoon will affect Macau at the beginning of next week, when it will be relatively cool in the morning. 

The bureau forecast that the temperature will dip to 19 degrees Celsius early next week. 

At 11 p.m. today the mercury stood at 23 degrees Celsius, while humidity amounted to 96 percent.

 On Monday the temperature is forecast to range between 19 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius.
