The Macau Cultural Centre (CCM) announced in a statement yesterday that it is recruiting a candidate and a creative team for its “Local Associated Artist Project.”
The statement noted that the project is supported by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) and is aimed at crafting fine art projects and encouraging the advent of “new artistic talents”, adding that the programme is designed to integrate artists’ output and experience to promote and develop the city’s performing arts over the next three years. The proposals will include two stage productions, along with a series of extended educational activities that comprise workshops and outreaches, the statement underlined.
The statement pointed out that CCM will provide a budget of up to two million patacas to be applied in a marketing communication plan, ticketing, provision of venues and support services to encourage local creators to devise projects from a wide range of perspectives and collaborations with overseas artists.
The selected applicant will work at CCM from next year until the end of 2024 to form his or her original outputs that will bring socially and culturally relevant works for audiences and target groups in the educational community, the statement added.
The statement noted that the proposals are to be submitted from today to January 4, adding that candidates will be shortlisted by February, followed by pitching sessions to the project’s jury, and the final selection to be announced by April.
The statement said that the application forms can be downloaded at www.ccm.gov.mo, while further information can be found on the same website or by calling 2870 0699.
