Macau Family Reunion Federation President Lei Iok Lan’s trial regarding allegations of aggravated disobedience and unlawful assembly continued in the Court of First Instance (TJB) yesterday morning. Both the prosecutor and the defendant’s lawyer focused on the definition of “lawful assembly.”

The trial concerns a scuffle outside the Legislative Assembly (AL) in August last year with over 100 mostly elderly members of the federation being refused entry to the legislature for a Q&A session with Chief Executive Fernando Chui Sai On.

During yesterday’s hearing, Lei’s lawyer Lo Wang On introduced video clips from the Public Security Police (PSP). Lei and senior PSP officer Lam Kam Hou, the key witness of the Prosecution, were both seen in the video.
