The Philippine Consulate General in Macau announced in a statement on its website yesterday that the 25th repatriation flight for “204 distressed Filipinos” left yesterday.

According to the statement, as of yesterday, the number of repatriated Filipinos in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic stood at 4,961. The statement added that the consulate has been arranging repatriation flights for Filipinos in Macau who are “negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic” since March 2020.

The statement underlined that the consulate noted the decision of the Philippine COVID-19 Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) in its “Resolution No.149-A”.  The resolution states that fully-vaccinated passengers travelling from areas under the IATF’s Yellow List, which includes Macau, are required to “undergo only three days of facility-based quarantine and discharged upon release of a negative RT-PCR test”, the statement noted.

The real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test is a form of testing for COVID-19.

The statement pointed out that those keen on returning to the Philippines can register their details at https://tinyurl.com/repatMacau
